A little preparation makes a big difference. It helps us start quickly, keep things tidy and deliver the best finish. Here’s the simple checklist we recommend for homeowners.

Before we arrive

  • Clear small items: shelves, side tables, ornaments and fragile pieces.
  • Move furniture: aim for a 1m gap from walls where possible (we can help reposition heavy pieces).
  • Protect valuables: store jewellery, documents and electronics safely away.
  • Wall access: take down pictures, mirrors and curtains/rails if requested.
  • Pets & kids: plan safe access routes (especially for hallways and stairs).

Quick win: if you can send photos of the room beforehand, we’ll arrive with the right protection and prep materials from the start.

During the job

  • Ventilation: crack windows where safe — helps drying and keeps the air fresh.
  • Access: keep hallways clear for dust sheets and equipment.
  • Questions: ask early if you’re unsure about colours, edges or finishes.

Aftercare

  • Cure time: avoid scrubbing walls for ~2 weeks (paint needs time to harden).
  • Touch-ups: keep a small labelled pot for future quick fixes.
  • Cleaning: wipe gently with a soft cloth; use mild soap if needed.
